March is colon Cancer Awareness Month and in just about a week,? John Pertzborn and his wife will be getting their first colonoscopies. Washington University?s Dr. Steven Hunt will be performing the scan. Those who have had a colonoscopy get to wear a special pair of underwear at the upcoming Undy 5000 Saturday March 31th.
The Undy 5000 is organized by the Colon Cancer Alliance, a patient advocacy organization dedicated to ending the suffering caused by colorectal cancer.
The 2012 St. Louis Undy 5000 will be held Saturday, March 31. It starts in Forest Park at the Upper Muny Parking Lot.
