Social media will ultimately produce a much more engaged and informed electorate because it brings the campaigns to the people. I ?believe social, friends connecting with friends, and candidates connecting directly with voters will produce a very different kind of campaigning and potentially a much more palatable political environment for most people.
Look for Facebook to play a similar role to what it did at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla. ? helping delegates, media, politicos, and the community find ways to use Facebook to share their experience and connect.
